Mr. C. Bose, President, TAI, Mumbai Unit welcomed the Chief Guest Mr. A. B. Joshi, Textile Commissioner, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, Guest of Honour Mr. S. N. Kuchhal, Director-Operations, Creative Garments and Mr. Ajay C. Kapadia, President, Umargam Industries Association, speakers and delegates.

 
     
   
  Mr. Haresh B. Parekh, Jt. Hon. Gen. Secretary, TAI and Convener of the seminar gave the brief of the event. He said that TAI, Mumbai Unit is organizing seminar at Vapi consecutively for 2 years because of the active participation from the delegates. He emphasized that the Textile industry should take advantages of the various benefits announced by the central Govt. and the State Govt.  
     
   
 

Mr. S. N. Kuchhal, Director-Operations, Creative Garments while addressing the delegates said that the industry needs to gear up to meet the needs of the trade in terms of quality of the products apart from meeting the design requirements. He emphasized on the effluent treatment plants in and around Vapi and Tarapur and suggested Govt. to provide centralized ETO with proper guidance.

 
     
   
   
     
   
   
     
   
 

Dr. M. K. Talukdar, Technical Consultant, Kusumgar Corporate presented the paper on Contribution of Indian Weaving Industry in Global Competitiveness.
