PERSPECTIVE OF MODERN WEAVING TECHNOLOGY IN THE EMERGING MARKET

Day & Date : 15th March 2008 Time : 10.00 a.m. to 04.30 p.m.

Venue : Hotel Fortune Park Galaxy, GIDC,
N.H.No-08, Vapi – 396 195 (Gujarat)
Tel: 0260-2424123/4

SHORT NOTE

The composite textiles mills find itself trapped between the machinations of powerloom sector and the cut throat competition in the global market. At the lower and middle segments of the market the composite mills are battered by powerlooms.

If the organized mills need definite place in the textile industry in the years to come, they must decide on going up market as a quality producer of specialty fabrics and serve the international as well as the Indian middle and upper class market. Nevertheless some mills have ventured to start specialty fabrics, most of the them have yet to reach the international standard.

This weaving seminar will give an opportunity to the textile technologists to share their thoughts to meet the challenges and such an interaction will be highly productive.

We are still lacking development in Spinning and weaving technology upgradation. We need to replace machines with proper choice of technology and development of modern management styles particularly for decentralized weaving sectors.

The process of modernization is taking place in the weaving sector and large number of shuttleless looms are being installed at various centres. The modern world is more interested in readymade garments rather than tailor made. Weaving industry will have to meet the requirement of readymade garment industry.

Readymade garments industry requires wider width and defect less fabrics. This is possible with installation of more shuttleless looms. The Indian textile industry will have to be competitive to face the international competition of textile goods.

TAI SEMINAR

The TAI now brings to you a seminar specially dedicated to Weaving, covering the subject of new innovation in weaving manufacturing machines, weaving preparations and related manufacturing activities. i.e. Industrial fabrics, Geo textiles and designer fabrics. The subjects will cover right from product mix to value addition by keeping in mind quality concepts of international standard. The seminar will cover Govt. initiation for putting new projects in weaving sectors also. Speakers of various sectors will contribute for developing the textile industry in the right path of the success.

THE FOLLOWING TOPICS WILL BE COVERED

-> Textile Market with various value added product mix and weaving technology
